The house between two lakes features 180m2 of exposed aggregate satin polished concrete sitting on a mezzanine sub floor.
The concrete used was a standard c35 conventianl mix design with 10mm aggregate apposed to the standard 20mm for more concentrated and consistent exposure of aggragte on show.
Local aggregates and sand in this area have beige / golden tone giving a warm and natural feel to the property.
The dersired finish of the polished concrete floor was a satin level of gloss so a topical sealer was used after the polishing process to achieve the asthetic.
We later revistied the project to include polishing works for two precast feature peices that had been poured at the same time as the floor for consistency in colour and materials used.
