Industrial Finish Polished Concrete is a popular option chosen for residential properties when installing a new floor. The finish is achieved by power trowelling the surface of the concrete on installation whilst still wet. This creates the movement in the surface from the trowel and adds a cloudy appearance. When cured the surface is lightly polished and sealed. This finish is modern yet rustic and comes in a range of colours.
Variable Finish Polished Concrete is often opted for with existing concrete floors where refinishing is required. Its a cost effective option that offers a long lasting, very hard wearing and functional floor. Variable finish still has its place in residential properties and can be created by lightly grinding the surface of a newly laid floor to randomly expose aggregates that are closest to the surface.
Exposed Aggregate Polished Concrete. A Terrazzo style option suitable for any space. This finish offers a extremely hard wearing surface. It is achieved by diamond grinding a minimum of 2mm of the surface to expose all stones and the finish is unique local to the area as products for the concrete are locally sourced. Colour can be added to mix to change the pigment of the cement and sand.
Its also a common option in commercial and industrial spaces when the floor requires flattening and existing coatings and contaminates removing.
